Vice-Rector for University Extension

Susana Reboreda Morillo has been a lecturer in Ancient History since 1997 at the Universidade de Vigo, where she began and has been teaching and researching without interruption since 1991. 

She is coordinator of the Archaeology, Antiquity and Territory Study Group (GEAAT) at the University of Vigo and collaborates with the Demeter, Maternities and Families Group at the University of Oviedo. Her preferred lines of research are mainly related to Greek mythology and women in ancient Greek history. On both topics she has more than 50 papers published in journals and books in high impact publishers.

She is currently the principal investigator of a Ministry research project entitled Vulnerabilidad intrafamiliar y política en el mundo antiguo (PID2020-116349GB-100) and researcher of the European project Horizon 2020: rurALLURE: Promotion of rural museums and heritage sites in the vicinity of European pilgrimage routes, directed by the Universidade de Vigo professor Martín López Nores, valid from 2021-2022 (ref. 101004887).

Among the management positions she has held, it is worth mentioning that she was dean of the Faculty of History on two occasions, vice-dean of this centre and director of the Coordination and Students area of the Ourense Campus.
